5th Annual Seagrave Wolds Challenge Saturday 14th November 2009 |
|
Church St., Seagrave |
|
Welcome to the Seagrave Wolds Challenge site. The event has been set-up by Chris Thompson, a resident of Seagrave & a keen eventer, with help from numerous others.
The Challenge should give participants a good feel of the Leicestershire Wolds, leading you around 15.7 miles of the Leicestershire countryside, through Wymeswold, along paths through the grounds of Prestwold Hall (not normally open to public use), on to Burton-On-The-Wolds, Walton-On-The-Wolds and finishing back in Seagrave.
This will be the fifth time the event has been held and with the help of experienced participants and helpful suggestions from previous entrants we are confident that it will be a substantial success, & continue to build on the fine reputation gained in the previous years.
Seagrave is well located to the road networks & consequently easy to find – the simplest directions are: find the A46 going North from Leicester and take third left after the “Hobby Horse Inn” island, or, coming south, take the second left on the A46 after crossing the Leicestershire border, or continue to the Little Chef & turn right across the A46: both are signed for Seagrave. Here’s a map to help you get here.
We hope you will feel inspired to enter and enjoy exploring this pleasant countryside; if you just can’t wait to get going here’s the Entry Form. |
